FIRST DAY. In the morning a tour discovering the Lands of Ruchè wine, which is one of the most representative wines in tradition of Monferrato and nowadays more and more appreciated internationally. A stop at Castagnole Monferrato, the birthplace of Ruchè, to visit an important winery and taste this so special wine. To follow, transfer to Alfiano Natta to visit a famous Castle, which is the seat of another prestigious winery. This building preserves an original set-up in the historical cellars, excavated in the raw tufa directly, where you can find ancient objects and tools mixed with contemporary art installations. At the end, wine tasting. Traditional Piedmont menu lunch in Cocconato. In the afternoon visit to the beautiful Abbey of Saint Mary in Vezzolano, which is a masterpiece of the national architecture from Middle Ages. Tasting and making… Transfer to a restaurant to test yourselves into an amazing Cooking Class, to discover and prepare some famous dishes from Piedmont tradition… At the end, you have a dinner tasting the courses just prepared matched with the local wines.
SECOND DAY. Transfer to Ferrere to discover “Salame Cotto” (the “cooked salami”), an excellence of local gastronomy. To follow, a stop in Cisterna d’Asti to visit a winery and taste the wines produced in this part of Monferrato. Lunch at restaurant with a traditional menu and departure.
